EViews is available at CSSCR in Condon Hall. You can start EViews by double-clicking on the EViews icon on the desktop. The entire EViews manual is online - click on the EViews' Help menu.
Much of the data for the course is available on the course data page. As a convenience, the large data extract from the Current Population Survey is installed locally at CSSCR. To use the local copy at CSSCR go to the Start Menu, choose Run, and enter the command "o:classdata econ482". (Don't enter the quote marks.) The file will be placed in the folder c:\temp\econ482 from which you can load it into EViews.
By special arrangement with Quantitative Micro Software, students in Economics 482 can also buy a full copy of EViews directly from the vendor for approximately $85-$185 [The student copy won't do.]. (See the instructor for the required form.) Note that this arrangement does not include upgrade rights or tech support.
