Olga O. Yang (BA 1982) Chair, Economics Visiting Committee Olga Yang received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1982 from the University of Washington. She began her career as a commercial insurance underwriter just after graduation and has worked in the industry ever since, earning multiple professional designations from the American Institute of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters along the way. She now works for CNA Insurance as an Underwriting Specialist. In 1989, Olga established the Yanlan and Robert Yang Endowed Scholarship Fund in Economics to provide undergraduate student scholarships to students demonstrating financial need.  The fund was created in honor of her parents.  Olga has been a member of the Visiting Committee since 2005 and also serves on the board of the UW Economics Alumni Organization.
